Snakes and dragons...................

Vaughn and I had an eventful weekend - Gareth was in Sydney visiting Button - so we thought that we would be like Darby and Joan have a quiet one......
Hmmm................. While we were getting over the shock of Ireland beating the Wallabies (shock and horror) there was a knock at the door. We were informed that a large snake was heading up our driveway from the road. Intrepid Vaughn, armed with a pillow case ( I have no idea what the other person was doing with the sheet) captured the carpet python.
............... after deliberating for quite a while on where he should release the snake................
.............he set it free BEHIND OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see, it's not really a big one BUT STILL..........
Squash seemed a bit put out by all the commotion...........
On Sunday a participated in my first regatta.....................
..............the marshalling area - waiting to get onto our boats - all very organised..........
..........we have to paddle out to where we race from - it would be nice if we were towed out!!!
...............that's me right at the back..................

..............one race down - five more to go............
.............such a good day - very, very tiring - I wish I had stated this years ago.............
