Keeping busy...............

Dearest Mom and Dad
I am trying to keep busy - and it looks as though I need to keep at it for another week.  I am never alone though, George is always at my side................

Dad, you will be pleased to know that I am not "eating too much" - I  have lost 3 kgs - and my food is still delicious - this is my cereal before it was toasted in the oven..........

I have done some work in the garden -  I had to call in the big guns to take it all away!! Vaughn was impressed.....

Debs said "Come to dinner, I will just make fish and salad" - yeah right !!! Lovely food with lovely people............

I went out for lunch with Jane and Lynda - Lynda was quick to duck out of the photo - Jane was a bit too busy finding some money!!!!

 Look, nice and healthy!!!

Thursday night's productive people.............

Dearest Mom
Letitia has most definitely found her quilting mojo - she made this beautiful quilt - of which her husband is most proud!!!!

She bought a long arm quilting machine a while back and is quilting up a storm!!!!
Her next project is a hexagon something - I think it is a table runner...........

Letitia quilted Jane's quilt - yup, you heard correctly - Jane finished a quilt!!!

These are the fabrics that she is working with at the moment................making a bag, I think.

There she is nitter nattering away!!!

Jules was also binding a quilt - nice and modern...........

Marlene was knitting a little jumper out of this pretty ancient pattern book !!

How cute were the little boys back in the day with their short back and sides???

I had to take Squashy to the vet - she was a little under the weather!!!

Mom and Nunu - try these - they were delicious and healthy too.....

Sundried tomato and cottage cheese muffins.

1 cup cottage cheese
3/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup soya flour
1cup almond meal
1tsp baking powder
1/4 cup chopped sundried tomatoes - I added a little more
1/4 chopped fresh basil
1/4 water
4 eggs - lightly beaten
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
I added cayenne pepper too

Preheat oven 200C
Mix all dry ingredients with 1/2 cup of parmesan
Then add basil and tomatoes making sure the tomatoes are evenly distributed
Add eggs, water and cottage cheese
Spoon into muffin papers
Sprinkle remaining parmesan
Bake for 30-35 min
BUT both times I made these they only needed about 15 min - so check.
They are worth making.

But I am making sure that I still eat delicious food................for breakfast.........

 .............dinner................

....................homemade muesli - yes, Mom those are oats!!!!

 ...............lunch.................

.............dinner...............all made with no sugar and no processed food...........

...................AND even when Vaughn and I went for lunch on Sunday before he left I had NO wine!!!

Easter done and dusted..................

Dearest Mom and Dad
We headed off to Cotton Tree for an impromptu picnic.......typical Gareth, before I've unpacked all the goodies he's half way though it all..........

Typical females - they smile for photos but the boys just want to eat!!!!

 The tall people ..........
 The four of us....................

 Vaughn lost something................

........found it - he dropped one of his Easter eggs!!!!

It was another beautiful day - Gareth has gone back to Canberra - temperature between 1 and 13 deg!!!

Button stayed a day longer than Gareth so we headed off for lunch...........

 Figs - your favourite, Mom..........

A few metres away from us, enjoying the water feature and the warm sun, was this rock python.....

Button and I - I am now officially the heaviest I have ever been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little bit of this and that...........

Dearest Mom and Dad
Wow, busy lady, Mom. It's quite hard to get hold of you these days!! Gareth and Button will be home tomorrow - and Button will be here for FIVE nights - oh happy days!!!!
I get to see all sorts of "stuff" teaching crazy.  Sharon made these saucy covered hangers......

Typical Sharon - she LURVES colour................
Beautiful Squash on a pile of my quilts.............
George and Jane were shocked to find out that I had a tidy sewing room..............
Marie found this UFO in amongst her stuff - I love the way she recycles everything................
Close up - it's going to be a very beautiful quilt................
Darby and I went to Cotton Tree for breaky - I also manged to do some shopping there - you know I hate shopping for clothes.................
It's so funny - the waitstaff always give Vaughn the BIG BREAKFAST - but it's me who stuffs my face!!!!!
The weather has cleared and the days are lovely................our street looks good after all the rain.........
Sue invited me for lunch the other - so that I could have a "break" - ag shame, she went to soooo much trouble..............
The kookaburras were making a huge noise and I went out to feed them only to find the resident "lizard type thing".  Vaughn feeds him so he is very tame and comes right up to you -  I had to share the raw meat between him and the kookaburras........
No more news - too much work makes Jenny dull!!!!!!
