While you were away - part two

Dearest Mom and Dad
I cannot wait to hear all your news - it seems as though you had a wonderful time.
So, Button turned 25 - kan je dit glooi? Do you remember, Dad, how you used to say "happy face, grumpy face, sad face" etc and Button would put on a show??? ANd what about Granny Muffin???

Nothing has changed!!!!
She seemed to have had a fun day with friends on Cockatoo Island..................

I am busy teaching and getting a few new classes which is good for me............... the book has proved to be  helpful when I give the "students homework".........

We have had quite a bit of rain - which we needed...............

But the humid weather sets little Squash's skin off - so, she is not a happy camper!!

I popped into to see Marie and she had finished off the hexagon quilt which she had forgotten about..............

I do so love a hand quilted hexagon quilt..........

On Sunday morning - I felt slightly under the weather, it was Cathy's 60th party the night before. MOM, some of my friends are turning 60!!!!!!!! How did that happen??????????? Anyway, Vaughn and I had breakfast at Moffat beach in Caloundra..........

Delish food ..............

Moffat Beach reminds Vaughn and I of the South Coast - it has a St Mikes feel - does it not - or maybe we were just feeling a tad nostalgic..................

Eleanor had her crazy framed - beautiful, is it not?

AND Katja will be doing my patterns for me - which I am really, really, really excited about................

Chat soon......................

While you are away.......................

Dearest Mom and Dad

I have been kept busy too -well, busy socialising it seems.........
We celebrated Sue's birthday - about a month late - but another good night was spent together..................

Debs is on a super health kick and made this dessert - no butter, no flour, no eggs, so sugar !!!!!

The weather has been gorgeous - I decided to head to Mooloolaba for a swim, some prawns..................

and a little bit of homework for my creative writing class.........

Oh my, I had such a lovely time catching up with Ady for her birthday !! WAY too much wine was consumed............

It is getting a little darker in the mornings now..................

but Point Cartwright still manages to put on a show for us...............

Dinner at Cathy's house with Jane and Margret...............

.....................pretty flowers and table settings...............

and a delicious meal............................

Margret had some show and tell............................. a quilt for her Mom...............

So, I have something to show you....................

Dearest Mom and Dad
This is the beautiful Inspirations Magazine............

........................and I am in it!

Kan jy dit glooi - as Carol would say.................

Oh, and I found these - Mom, I started this quilt a couple of years ago for you..........

I spent a lovely day at an International Women's Day lunch ................

.................good food, good company and a great talk and quilt show by Judy Hooworth. Needless to say, I bought raffle tickets and did not win a bloody thing!! And yes, there was jelly and custard for dessert which was odd because the main meal was great!

Judy had some gorgeous quilts to show us.

Meanwhile, Gareth and Chloe went to Dubbo and spent the weekend at the zoo.

Gareth and giraffes - two of my favourite things.

It feels like two weeks....................

Dearest Mom and Dad
I am back from my trip to Sydney and Canberra - it feels as though I have been away fro weeks!!!
As usual, I so enjoyed being in Sydney - the little terrace houses in Paddington are to die for.................

Between castings and work Button is a very, very, very busy girl. This photo of her was taken just after doing the casting for the 1915 movie with Sam Worthington - that's if he doesn't have to go to jail!!!

Have I told you how much I love Paddington???

............this is my most favourite place to go.............

...................its a bookshop and a café......................
three stories of books ..................

and interesting "wallpaper" in the loo - gosh, I remember you with a "beehive" Mom!!

My favourite spot to sit and eat and read...................

It was Mardi Gras in Sydney - so the ATM's were all shoozed up!! Love it!!

Breakfast!!

Sorry, not the best photo - but Chloe's 21st was fun........
