Mom, why the %$## did I not inherite your green thumb..............
...............or your tidyness??????
Obviously, the birds in your garden don't need water???
Mom, that little quilt must be at least 20 years old.... Where did you find it? Was it one that I gave to Carol?
Oh your patio, I wish I could be there having sharing a wine with you and Dad.......
My beloved family .........................

Dearest Mom and Dad
Mom, I am so impressed with your computer skills - I am loving all the photos - keep them coming!
Vaughn has been my lifesaver - he has worked out how to load all the photos for the book. This weekend he spent all day Saturday and Sunday at the computer doing it for me. I am well ahead of schedule but am still stressing. So my sewing table looks like this...............
..................and the rest of the house is gathering dust, literally!!
Here is gorgeous Gareth in his "onesie" - yes I did find one to fit him. But what a small world - the clever lady who makes them lives in Brisbane and is one of Jenny Bosch's best friends!!!!! ( http://www.debsonesies.com.au/) It is -2 in Canberra so the onesie keeps him warm. Jane thought that an animal print would have been perfet for him but I settled for the "safe" black one. I have sent Button a few as well - will try and get a photo of her in her spotted one.
My tomato crop has been a bit neglegted - this one wasn't too pretty but tasted good.
Mom, this is my collecteion of Zulu bracelets - these are the colours I like.
I found these at my door yesterday with a note that read "From a friend".......... I think I know who sent them!! I am very fortunate to have amazing friends........................

Dearest Mom and Dad
Pretty exciting news about Button!!
I am back to normal and up and about. I think Vaughn is a little disappointed - Jane basically fed us - and he really, really, really enjoyed her food!!!! Debs also came bearing food - so now I have to start cooking again. I am a little jealous of Debs, she is doing the Coolum to Noosa breast cancer walk - I am not able to do it. I have done it before and it is a good day!!!!
I did manage to make this granny square bag - the colours are not as bright in the flesh!!

Dearest Mom and Dad
Got to see a nice hexagon bag at the Patchwork Angel - a lovely customer allowed me to take a photo of it.............
Charlotte decided that this is the only way to get attention during rugby season!
Kerry and I made the local paper................
I washed my hexagon quilt - it still looks good after 10 years of wear and tear.............
Hospital food - not the best............
Another recipe for you to try Mom - it's really good with steak............

Dearest Mom and Dad
It's actually bloody cold today. Lots of rain and wind....
This is Button's latest creation at Aqua Pazza. Doesn't it look delicious. I am due to go and see her soon so I will taste it then and let you know what I think!!!!
We had another trunk show at the Buderim group - Beryl had lots of lovely quilts - these were two of my favourites - scrap quilts.............my best
This Amish style quilt was also a stand out.
I made this delicious soup the other - give it a go, Mom. Dad will love it........
Curried lentil soup
1 med onion - ch
2 gloves garlic - crushed
2 tsp curry powder
400g tinned ch tomatoes
3 cups veg stock
300g kumura cut into 2cm pieces
300g cauliflower florets
2 zucchini - ch
400g brown lentils - rinsed
Heat oil - cook onion until soft - add garlic and curry powder - cook until fragrant. Add tomato and stock -bring to the boil - reduce heat and add kumura - simmer, uncovered for 10 min. Add cauli and zucchini and simmer until veg are tender. Add lentils and heat through. Serve witha dash of natural yogurt.
It's hard to believe that I still need to buy thread. I am not a fan of stranded cotton so it's sometimes hard for me to find twisted thread in the colours that I like. While shopping I did manage to find this very nice bit of linen - it's a pity that it is only a small piece.

I have started a new crochet thingy................ The colours in the photo are way brighter than they are in the flesh. Look to be honest it s going to be a very stiff little rug - but as Vaughn said - We won't have to use it - it does look good on the back of the couch!!!
My crazy classes are now more a friendship thing than a class - we all know each other so well now. In fact I sometimes forget that I am there to teach and not to catch up on the goss and eat cake!!!!!!They give each other gifts - which is nice because I get one too!! Cheryl gave us each a little sewing box.
Dad, this one is for you. A good handoff by Gareth - Brumbies academy against NSW. His team is unbeaten so far.
He went to Melbourne to play against the Rebels academy this weekend.
Sue made these Lemonade scones on Tuesday for crazy - delicious!!!
I went to a very interesting breakfast on Saturday morning - Judy Nunn - author and actress. She was such a wonderful speaker - funny and fascinating!!!
Sorry, but I coundn't get this right side up!!!!
This was the view from where the breakfast was held.
I went with Kerry from Dragon Boating. Lovely lady - she needs to write a book- what an incredible life she has had.
