Oh WOW !!!! (part 2)

Dearest Mom
Here are some more photos of Marie's fascinating home - this post is a bit photo heavy but I know that Nunu is hungry to see more of this home.................so here goes............
This is "Bob's space" - Marie's husbands deck................

He has collected a lot of old tree stumps - they are home to many creature - Australian bees - which are tiny - I did not know this........................

.....................on old "Queensland bed"......................

...........................home to many a possum, I believe...........................

Marie with their favourite teapot - she says they spend a lot time of time here on the deck...............

Bob's BBQ area....................

.......................just stuff collected over the years...................

Marie and a fridge from back in the "olden days"....................

.........there is quite a lot of "horsey" equipment around his deck..........

............the 2 dogs have their own double storey cubby house..................

......................a log fit for a "Princess"

The next lot of photos are of Marie's veranda..................

............... another lovely cupboard and a set of scales................

.........................a HUGE jar of buttons work well as a door stop......................

.......................this is the scene that greets you at the front door............................

Marie told me that the gate hanging on the wall is over a hundred years old ...................

..................Nunu, isn't this the most welcoming sight?........................

As I said before, Marie does the most interesting crazy quilting - after being to her house I can see why. Her collection of buttons, beads, lace, fabric etc is extensive..................

......................part of Marie's craft room...........and her stash................

Mom, I am going back to take some shots of Marie's garden which I know will interest you.

Marie's home is fascinating, it's almost like going back in time - when life was slow and a home was just that - a home - a soft place to fall.....

Thanks again, Marie for sharing your home with my family who live way too far away.
