A weekend with Button
Dearest Mom and Dad
On Friday I had many hours to kill until Button finished work...................
..............so Button put me on a bus to Drumayne ............... I have been desperate to go to Material Obsession ..............
It is a beautiful shop in an old house - with some very different fabrics and quilts............The owner of the shop, Kathy, takes time out of her busy life (she designs the quilts and is an author of quilt books) to chat to the customers - which I think is very nice..........she even poses for photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did buy some fabrics - of course - to share with Jane.............I seem to be into yellow at the moment..............
I then walked (in pouring rain) to Balmain ................
...........another lovely suburb of Sydney.............
..............lots to see...........
..................beautiful old tiles.............
.......more tiles..........
............interesting homes..............
I walked and walked until I arrived here...........and I need to get passed the Sydney Bridge to Circular Quay where Button works...............
So, believe it or not - I went by ferry. Yes, that's right, by myself!!! Here is the proof!!!
I arrived at Aqua Pazza hot and bit bothered - to find Mario showing off in the kitchen .......
............... and I was served with the most delicious 4 course lunch!!!! Cooked by Button and the Jan, the other chef. I ate the first 2 courses before I could take photos - but the Snapper and deep fried seaweed was quite something!!
To end off a dessert made by Button - the ice cream was left off as it's one thing I don't like.......
So that was day one............

What a great few days in Sydney........isn't MO a amazing shop.....nice photos of you and Kathy.....
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. Kathy takes time to talk to customers - which is nice because she was very busy with a photographer .... Nice interesting fabrics - she obviously buys what SHE likes.... See you soon.
